1970 Accessories folder USA writes "gold finished nameplate and numbers".
It does not provide any other option.

1971 "Verkaufsprogramm für 1971" RoW lists the "Komfort option M470" for 911T (also in its 1970 version).
It does not provide any other option for number and name plates. It shows a green gold plated 911T on its cover.

1971 Accessories folder shows a silver plated 911T.
(btw some people think its a 1972 item because Miller wrote it but its wrong, the 72 is w black cover.)

Didn't you say just previously that your "silver" 911T emblem was gold on the backside?
Yes I did, but I still maintain just because it is in a publication doesn't mean it is 100% correct. I have 2 "911T" emblems that are silver on the front and gold on the back (so faded). I just wanted opinion of guys that were at the dealers back then like Harvey and Ed, and it is interesting that they are on the opposite side of the fence on this one.

I know it’s an old thread, but I clicked on it because it is still relevant. My very original one owner 1971 911E with S trim has gold PORSCHE lettering with silver 911E badge. Definitely not faded and absolutely original to the car. It has always been my hypothesis that it was kept silver to match the grill.
