    Brake Pads Recommendation

I'm looking for opinions as to what the members here would recommend for brake pads. Usage is for the street with occasional spirited driving through mountain roads while ringing the neck of my SWB. I would like to avoid brake pads that excrete excessive brake dust. I was thinking of the Porterfield R4-S Pads. Other opinions welcome...

Try to find Pagid 'street' pads, not racing... Black pad in a blue box.....pretty inexpensive... Some, but not excessive dust... I love'm

Also happy with my Porterfield R4-S. They don't generate much dust , work reasonable well when cold and are awesome when hot.

I use Ferodo DS2500, like them a lot for years now. Not so expensive. I drive about 5000km on roads and doing 10 tracks a year with the DS2500.
Dusting is ok while driving legally.

I used EBC Red, Pagid Yellow and Orange and Black (not all at the same time ). None of those had my favour.
I would also recommend the Textar ones for a road only usage.

I use Porterfield R4S in my RACE car. That's how good the street pad is...

I use the cheap textar and pagid for street use. They work great.

I have had bad experiences with R4S not braking the car when cold (this was on my '88 Carrera, which required a lane change to avoid incident)

I use the Pagid S or Sport pad on my 73S. They're marketed as a high performance street pad that can be used for light track use as well. I've also noticed that the new Bosch Quiet Cast pad is now available for the S caliper.
