    Translated report:

    MONACO
    01/03/2014
Monaco. Finance expert took his own life on a yacht Monte Carlo
Paul Faldini had been linked to the business of Gianpiero Fiorani, the banker of Antonveneta.

    Paul Faldini

    JOHN MICALETTO DANIELA VILLAGES
    MONTECARLO
It's over in a yacht moored in the harbor of Monte Carlo the long ride of Paul Faldini, a life dedicated to high finance and luxury cars. They found corpse after his wife had given the alarm, not seeing him return home. For the Monegasque police there is no doubt it is a suicide. This is also confirmed by the note found near the body: a few lines to explain the desperate gesture with financial problems. What? Difficult, if not impossible, to find out more within the walls of the Principality.
Faldini, fifty years and still going strong, two daughters, had been linked to the business of Gianpiero Fiorani, the banker note Antonveneta. From the papers of the investigation related to climbing to the bank (ended badly, as you know), it was also turns out that in a management company rooted in a tax haven, and then tied to a partner Faldini and Swiss-Italian like him , were placed almost 200 million in investment funds from the People's Bank of Lodi, at the time controlled by Fiorani. The traces of that river of money offshore had led investigators to the Principality of Monaco, where Faldini had taken home from the 90s.
The Swiss-Italian financier came out clean but it was not even a splash of mud in that investigation that shook the Italian banking world (and not only). In the small kingdom nestled in the Côte d'Azur had continued to work in finance and cultivate a passion for engines, participating in some international competition such as the African Safari Classic Rally, at the wheel of a Porsche. A brilliant man, a professional business. That, however, has not withstood the weight of thoughts. And decided to call it quits in between the old and the new year, one of the many dream boats that float at the foot of the Rock and near the Monte Carlo casino.

I'm a bit shocked to say the least. My condolences to his family and friends.
A few years back we were both trying to buy the same 911.
Circumstances and luck were in my favour and I bought it.
We exchanged a few emails and then finally he sent me an email congratulating me on buying the car and if I was ever in the South of France to give him a call so we could meet up and talk 911's.
    Very sad
