    Are door sills year specific?

Need to replace the door sill on my 66'. It has indentations that run the length of the sill, about every 3 1/4"(see photo of portion of sill). Are these original? Will replacements have the indentations? Thanks

These indentations had disappeared by 1967 and I have never seen any replacements with this feature.

You would probably be able to make enough for one car using wooden tooling and a small fly press.

We are planning to make a 'part sill' with these indentation in the next few weeks using a rubber press and resin tooling as we need a few panels for 1965 shells.

Thanks, so I can assume that anyone restoring the door sills on an early car are just going with the flat panel with no indentations?

Sad but probably true which is why we are going to rubber press the door steps and put the correct indentations into the 65 cars we are currently restoring.
