FS: *NEW* Mahle Motorsport 92mm (2.8) RSR P&C set

    $4800 (plus shipping from 91301)

Brand-new in-box Mahle Motorsport 92mm (2.8 RSR) piston and cylinder set. (Kits PC92-001 & PP92-001). This is a complete unused set including 6 cylinders, 10.3:1 C/R pistons, rings and pins.

I bought this set a couple years ago for a rebuild/upgrade project but ended-up sticking with a 2.7 displacement. Feel free to PM me with any questions or offers, but note that I am not a mechanic/builder so for technical details you'll be better-off searching the archives here or checking with your engine builder.

They are great, but don't they require special RSR heads?

I'm no expert but understand they can be used with standard 2.4/2.7 heads, however machine work may be needed to bring down the C/R at least if you want to run on pump gas. (My original plan for these was to use my existing 2.7 twin-plug heads and run race gas.)

There are a bunch of earlier threads here and on Pelican on this topic...

    Cheers,

I had a 2.8 twin-plug engine a few yrs ago that was built from a 2.4S base using Mahle RSR pistons/cylinders & which retained the S heads.
