I met Jay Leno this morning....

A cool chance encounter...a couple guys and I are talking Porsches, behind my blue '75 911, and up walks Jay Leno to join the conversation. He talked about his recent web-episode on the Singer 911, and about driving his Carerra GT at 191mph.... Cool experience.

Not every day, but in my neck of the woods you can see him every weekend, sometimes twice a weekend. You just gotta hang out at the right place.

It was a nice way to start a Sunday.

During the conversation, one of the guys said, "how many cars do you have?"
Jay quipped, "you sound like my wife."

    But he the said..."about 120."

I was awarded a 3rd place trophy by Jay several years ago at the BHEF car show at Beverly Hills MBZ. Not bad considering that my 914 could win anything at all over there. It was wall to wall Gulll wings, Ferrari, Miuras, Jags + SLRs. Jay commented that the 914-6 was way undervalued and that the Judges really thouhgt highly of the model.

    These are beautiful cars.

Being a Vanilla Ice Cream sort of guy the car with LAVENDER wheels, boot carpet and GOK what else didn't float my boat. Some of the other combinations are bit more pleasing to the palate.

    Different strokes.

PS: Waiting to see if they have any issues with "Galvanic Reaction" from the Carbon Fiber. It can be quite bad with aluminum. Barriers are mandatory. Ask Eurocopter. Steel can have issues as well but nearly do bad as aluminum. I cannot imagine that with all the money spent that they missed this well known issue.
