    price investigation

    dug out this two shift knobs that i have no use for...how much can i ask for them? the bakelit one has no cracks but some wear...the crest on the other has a chip.

    Nice knobs. I would keep them or gift them to a friend.
    But probably keep them and display with pride.

    I think they are a pretty cool look.

    no not selling off the beloved patina...simply dont have the right car and no space in the showcases anymore...but it looks like bakelit it goes on a `64....

    The Bakelite looks like a Glas 3000 V8 Knob

    The plastic one is right out of a 1964 and 1965 911. It even had it's picture taken for the Drivers manual.

    just be sure to match it to the holy grail - the decal stuck to the window. Yup, the decal is a repro... but it is so good. It's black on clear (the white is just the carrier paper).

    If I was to price mine I'd want $100 for the knob and $15 for the decal.

    The bakelite will be in my '64 car soon. Now only to find a decal ;-)
