Probably only a few that can appreciate this MONSTER

L-88 Wanted one as a kid. I reckon the 1:24 was as good as I'll do.

That IS a hell of a car! And it should bring good money too. I got to drive a 73 454 for a few weeks in high school. It is a miracle I did not wreck that car. This is the Beast

    Thumbs up

Registry friend's and Porsche legend's Davey Jordan and Scooter Patrick drove one of the first '68 L88's for Garner at the '68 Daytona 24....

    Davey said he licked it............

    BTW- Check the grid.........

In '67 my buddy and I dove a brand new 390/427 Vette for a whole night... just another crazy teenage story...
Even with a 390hp with stock high gears you could still sit and smoke the showroom red line tires till they melted off the wheels......

My cousin bought a new '68 427/390 with the Turbo 400 tranny (a rare bird these days!) I can still remember the acceleration and will never forget going around a cloverleaf sitting between him and my dad. Not much room but I was having a hell of a good time getting squashed as my dad tried to hold on.

The '68's were a rush-job and the QC wasn't the best. Had the vacuum operated windshield wiper door (so were the headlights). Car was hot as hell in the summer. Nobody bought AC.
He eventually sold it a couple of years later. I swore that if I ever found it I'd buy it but I'm pretty sure the thing went down the road a lot of played out Corvettes did. I'd recognize it in a NY minute as it had some unusual options (if they are still with it).
