The part of the harness that runs through the tunnel is removed from the rear

Ed - can you tell me where the front and rear harness connect, i.e. where the harness exits the tunnel (towards the foot pedals), is there a main/primary connection that can be undone therefore allowing the rear harness to be pulled out from the rear? Thank you
Thanks a lot.
I thought that the rear one must be removed from the front....bad idea

It's real easy, theres connectors under the dash. Im going through my harness now thought it was going to be a nightmare but once you get going its rather simple.
Not on a 72 there isn't - well not for the rear loom anyway (The 5 six pin plug/sockets are for the switches/column only).
Early swb cars have square plugs under the dash some of which do supply the engine bay, and no large 14 pin plugs in the engine bay, so the rear looms on them come out from the rear to the front. Later cars with 14 pin connectors like a 72 come out from the front to the rear, and the loom can only be separated at the fuse box.
Have restored a 66 and a 72 so I am not offering an opinion here!
Mick
I finally succeed from rear to front....not so easy , but feasible.
thanks for help.
