    73 S - fuel tank question...

Given the scope and cost of the resto I'm doing on my 73S, replacing the fuel tank seems like well-spent money. In looking at Porsche's PET resource, I see (3) part numbers - two for 62L tanks, and one for an 85L tank (seems to be 1973 on). My parts guy is asking me which one I have. While I suspect 62 liters, can anyone definitively tell me which tank is the correct stock replacement. If it helps, I found the following part numbers in PET:

901-201-010-22 (62L that lists up to 71 and then 72 on?)
    911-201-101-25 (62L that shows 72 on)
    911-201-010-00 (85L 73 on)

    Thanks!

If your S is a euro/row spec it should have the plastic 85L tank.

Thank you - it is a USA car, but that still apparently leaves TWO choices for the 62L tanks per my above posting/parts numbers from PET??

72 on I think would be correct

You've got the part number wrong on the second one. 911-201-010-25 is listed as T/K, which I would believe would be the 73.5 CIS tank.

    Ergo, you need the 901-201-010-22

    72. Just check that it is for the full size spare tire....not the space saver as on later cars
