Rick's car is gorgeous! How do I find him/contact him about the exact color of the car. Or did I miss it in the article?

    Speaking of color, Shaun 69E...

How about posting a picture of your Velvet Green 69S Targa!!!

    That is very unusual

Hey Bryce, got your PM. The car is currently in old, black paint (and a lot of rust!) but here is what it looks like inside one of the headlight buckets. A lot of blue in the green. Has a linen interior too. I think Velvet Green was a 67 color, this car was definitely special ordered.

    Enjoy!

Very cool color. You've got a start for a paint matching process.

Now shelter that headlight bucket somewhere! You may have the only Velvet Green early 911 left on the planet

Thanks, bucket is tucked away. Inside also has some paint on the rear deck. Restoring the car will be a long long long process, but worth it. I'm fairly sure it's the only car ever made with it's specs, Velvet Green over Linen, so say nothing of it having a hydropneumatic front end. Been collecting those.

It's not, and most of the underside of it was completely, and I mean completely rusted away. The car sat in a field in TX for 20 years, but it's 100% complete. I flew down and loaded it in the back of moving truck and drove back. There's very little holding the front and rear together so didn't want a hauler to damage it. Still, the doors shut with a factory ring.

I'm not sure if 3-bar decklids were made in Al, do you know? I've got 2 nice ones, both steel. The dash will be an issue in a few years.
