    1971 911 T micro switch

My friend just bought a 1971 911 T with carbs. The micro switch, part number 901 613 106 00 is just laying on the left side shelf (near relays). It is wired up, but cannot be working just laying there. I cannot figure out where it is mounted and hope someone might know.

    Thank,

    John

Stole this picture from Pelican, I assume this is the switch you are talking about.

Part number for the mounting bracket is 911-108-127-00, I think you'll need to find a used one

That's the one I thought you might have meant, that's why I thought if you could post a picture of the part laying there, then we could tell you what it was. In the picture shown the car has been converted to Webers, so the switch isn't relevant any more. That switch was for Zenith carburetors and with them the throttle linkage would close that switch when the throttle is closed.

Jr and Ed, thank you for the assistance. My friends car switched to Webers also, so now I know why he and I have been having a tough time figuring this out. This solved the dilemma. Thank you again!
