    Before Reinvent the (steering) wheel...

    Howdy Folks,

Has anyone tried to customize a Momo Horn Button with a leather button embossed with the Porsche logo?

Like this (picture from a Singer Vehicle Design):

I've already got a coupe on Momo horn buttons and the embossed leather...

Any words of wisdom before I start tinkering?

    Thanks!

No wisdom, but I want one. Maybe you can sell them?

Also, will the item from Stoddard's fit?

I think the Stoddad's version is the same as the leather patch avaible from other well know parts suppliers?

Having placed the momo button over the leather patch, it looks like it would be a good fit to achieve the above effect, just got to figure out how to do it!

I was just thinking about this the other night while looking at the old ugly one on my wheel. I love the look of the one pictured so put me on the list if you figure it out. That Singer button is awesome.

IIRC, the regular Momo horn buttons are plastic and have 4 plastic tabs holding them on with a circular spring or circlip going around on the inside of the tabs. That Singer ring looks exactly like a matte silver version of the black plastic one on the Momo wheels. It might be plastic or maybe metal.

So if you removed a regular Momo horn button and just covered it with a section of leather with an embossed crest..

I would be very surprised if that ring on the Singer were plastic. Just sayin, for $300+K better be aluminum.

Ah, but plastic would be lighter. It would even be lighter than titanium.

The Singer one looks really cool! Where did you get the embossed leather patch? I want one!

    Good Luck!
