Had a nice chat with their staff. They're happy to discuss the car and answer any questions about it.

    Give me a break

    Who's kidding who?

I can't remember the last time I saw an ad that was objective and completely honest. Sellers these days (always?) brush with rose-colored glasses. No one pays 100k+ for anything without doing their due diligence so the goal for most advertisers is to get the phone to ring.

A hundred bucks to any of you who can show me an online dating ad where a candidate has displayed a photo of their ginormous Australia-shaped birthmark or cheerfully volunteers that they have an STD.

Also interesting to note that the original flat-6 wheels have been replaced by a set of 7" wide. Someone had a need for '73 date coded 6" wheels?

    PCAR Market Description:

Up for auction is this 1973 Porsche 911 S Coupe. Of all 911s, the desirable ”S” coupes are among the most collectible for their exhilarating driving characteristics, advanced engineering, and iconic styling. This 911 S boasts a recent engine and transmission rebuild, unique color, and an extensive list of factory options. Receiving an invitation to be shown at the Werks reunion in Monterey, CA, it is clear that this 911 is a stand out among other models. It is now being offered out of California with 66k miles showing on the odometer.

Just two years ago, this 911 S was professionally repainted in its original color of Gemini Blue Metallic by Kudensport based out of Oxnard, CA. The car is said to be in exceptional cosmetic condition with only one noteworthy chip present near the gas cap. The seller states that there is no rust present and all panels are original to the car. The factory set of 15 x 7” alloy Fuchs wheels are stated to be flawless with new Michelin tires currently mounted.

Inside, you will find a black leather interior that has been completely refinished to factory specification by a well-known Porsche shop in Phoenix, AZ. Overall, it remains in excellent condition and all electronics are stated to be in working order. From the factory, this 911 S was ordered with an additional cooling coil, raised steering wheel hub, Becker cassette head unit, manual antenna, front loudspeaker with noise suppression, sunroof delete, and an engine compartment light.

The period correct 2.4L fuel-injected engine is connected a 5-speed manual transmission (replacing the original Sportomatic) that delivers power to the rear wheels. Less than 2500 miles ago, a full engine rebuild was performed by Aase Motors, bringing this 911 to excellent running condition. The transmission was also re-configured to a smooth 5-speed manual from its factory sportomatic set up. Power was bumped to approximately 220HP and 160 lb-ft of torque. Receipts of all work performed will be included in the photo gallery. Equipped with Bilstein shocks and new bushings, the ride quality and handling is heavily increased on this 911. Overall, this example is stated to be in excellent running condition.

The sale will include a certificate of authenticity, receipts of work performed, tools, and keys.
