    The rocker shafts are assembled with the retainers. 4 with bolt head go on the 4 outside shafts as per proper installation. The 8 with threaded ends go on the interior shafts. Then the washer/pins are bolted to the cam housing under the nuts that mount the head to the cam housing, the pin index in the retainers and lock the shaft in position. Gled
