Thread: FS: factory fiberglass

Lightweight factory racing body parts. Bought directly from Porsche. This should be the holy grail for any ST tribute. Soon to be lost in the deep deep bowels of my remote storage unit.

Those are really neat parts and super fun to see.

    Just for physics.
What happens when you keep removing weight from the front of the car?
I know it makes the cars lighter. But wouldn't it become more squirrelly and back heavy?
Maybe the racers liked it being a little more tricky.
My brother has all fiberglass front, when I looked at his car, I kept thinking, I want more weight in the front.
Like the steel weights they had in the early 911 bumpers.
I always thought they split 2 batteries far as possible up front for this purpose?

Not to hijack this thread but Ide like to know more about this aswell? Doesn’t seem to make sense yet all the R cars were also glass up front.
