What next to make .... ST-classic

    Hi Guys ,
While i'm in the groove and making new items for our cars i need input for future items that are wanted out there .... we have the 100ltr y straps soon , i plan to make a few tool roll straps with a twist to match the y straps and i can make any other leather items to suit .

I am working with a retired fiberglass gruru who built americas cup boats and has been in the industry since early 70's , we are looking to do a range of amber /sq weave cover parts to give that porsche factory race dept look

over Christmas with my race car engineer we designed up a ST look engine skid plate / front fuel tank skid plate and some other trick stuff..

So what next , give me some ideas . As noted with member Gregbus members that help in mocking / making items get a finished item for free .

    John:

You might think about making the aluminum straps for holding in the rear plexi windows, and the front windscreen tabs. Brackets to mount CIBIE Oscars through the horn grill screwing into the battery boxes. I have dimensions for these brackets. Screen covers for the rectangular ST openings in the front air dam, and a custom screen for rear deck lids made from the same mesh material. End pieces for rear bumper ends which are mounted without bumperettes. Just a few ideas....

    Hi Gib,
    cheers for the reply
all good ideas , let see
    - aluminum straps for holding in the rear plexi windows, and the front windscreen tabs - weren't these already made by someone like patrick motorsport? i'll check but sure they are already there.
-Brackets to mount CIBIE Oscars through the horn grill screwing into the battery boxes. I have dimensions for these brackets. - sounds good send me the details , guessing that due to the weight of the lights the brackets are pretty solid
-Screen covers for the rectangular ST openings in the front air dam, and a custom screen for rear deck lids made from the same mesh material. - i have the mesh for these but was having trouble shaping the material and keeping it correct . i will look into it again
    - End pieces for rear bumper ends which are mounted without bumperettes. - that's easy just a lasercut item. are these all weld on or tabbed to screw into place ?

    John,

    If I may,

    +1 R type engine grill
+1 for the aluminium straps for rear screen

Brackets to mount brakefluid bottle overflow (with the bottle)
Bracket to mount fuel pump in the front hood (near the smuggler box
Would be cool to have another source for solid Marchal/Cibie Pallas headlight covers.

    Cheers

cheers , great info and ideas

Brackets to mount brakefluid bottle overflow (with the bottle) - i have been working on that with twin coil and fuel pump mounts

Would be cool to have another source for solid Marchal/Cibie Pallas headlight covers.[/B] these can be made the same way as i do the coverplates , spun ali , but the rubber /catch and painting correctly is tricky to source . i have a couple of sets so will see who can make what .

You might want to look at D-Zug Produkte == they are distributing a piece for this function
