    Door Panels for a 1970 T

I have door panel questions. my 1970 has the door pockets (or used to). replacement pockets are big bucks. will 1974- door panels fit the 1970? also they make a replacement pocket for 1974-. would this fit a 1970?

btw, the drivers door arm rest has nothing to grab to help you close the door. the passengers door does and is easy to grab to close. what about the drivers door? what am i missing here?

last thing. anyone have a trick way to run speaker wires to the door? thinking about speakers in the door but I do not want an obvious aftermarket installation wire showing...

    thanks for your comments!

OK, I'll take a run at these-

I believe 74 pockets will fit, but to be sure I would check the existing holes in the door (and door panel)

Thats the way they came. I have seen people finding RH drive car's left door handles and putting 'em in.

The cleanest way is to hide th wiring behind the centerline of the door hinges. Looking down from the top with the door open you'll see what I speak of. The problem with this method is you have to drill the door and the body so that a wire will pass through both. On the other thread where you asked of this someone posted a quick get it done method where the speaker wire is held in place by the door panel. Easy? Yes. Pretty? No.

yes, the 74 pockets will fit, but holes for attaching it along the bottom will not line up. Door pockets has two sets of holes for each pocket. 74 has three sets of holes for the single long pocket.
