    FS: Lemforder ball joints

I have a pair of new in box Lemfoerder wedge bolt ('72-on) ball joints that I cannot use.

Will sell pair for $90 or trade for like (new) earlier style, through bolt ('69'71) ball joints.

    Mark,

I am interested in buying your ball joints. Can you confirm the part number?

    Thanks,

    Hi Bert,

These have a part# on the Lemfoerder box, but there are only two versions, Early for '69-'71 with a round notch in the peg for the threaded through bolt, and late for '72-on with a "V" shaped notch in the peg to accept the wedge bolt.

If you are not sure, look at the bottom of your struts where the ball joint peg inserts. If you have a hex bolt and nut securing the ball joint peg you need the early ones. If you have just a nut on one end of a wedge shaped pin and no hex on the other side of the strut bottom you have the later style.

I'll look at the boxes when I get home from my office, but make sure by looking at your car....struts get swapped, and the real need will be by what is on your car...nut/bolt or wedge pin/nut.

Lemforder box has 901 341 049 01.....not 00 as mentioned. They have the round notch for early ('69-'71) struts. These were purchased form Sunset Porsche a few years ago. One correction...the early struts have just a bolt and washer that threads into threads on the strut...there is no nut. The bolt crosses the notch in the ball joint peg.

    Mark,

It looks like your part number matches the earlier '69 - '71 style. My struts are the later style dated 1978. I was looking for 911.341.049.01

I'll have to pass. Thanks for checking.

    Good luck with your sale.
