For the SoCal boys, we did a test day earlier in the week and the FY Racing crew swapped out a gearbox in -8 deg F temps while laying on a tarp It took about an hour.

Another cold one, huh? It's amazing how the mechanics can work with all that COLD metal while laying on the COLD ground. Did Block have mechanical, or off problems? As much fun as I had last year...... I went south to Daytona for the weekend this year. I might try to make it out again next year - I'm beginning to be able to feel my toes again.

Daytona ... why didn't I think of that Block is out of the series this year. Ford wants him to concentrate on friggin Global Demolition Derby /Rallycross because they have a good TV package Can't blame them I guess. Block's not real happy about it, but they pay the bills. He's still going to run 100 Acre Woods and 1 or 2 other RA events. Pastrana is back with Subaru so it will basically be between him and Higgins.

Almost forgot, RA has a TV deal this year:

That's great that they got a TV deal! And very cool that they'll be running the Mt. Washington Hillclimb as a RA stage rally. Coming out for it again? I see that they are going to have a 10 car vintage class. It'll be interesting to see who shows up for this class. Two national rallies in a three week period within 40 miles of each other - unheard of.
