    Willow Springs yesterday...

To follow up on the "What did you do today"
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...-Today/page126

The ".... I hope so" ..... didn't work out so well.
Even though the tires looked like they had another day in them... they didn't.

They initially worked OK, and were every pressure stable, however had a pretty low traction threshold... that progressively got worse.

Only today I looked up this set's history:
Bought in May '11, had 6 track day event's on'm, plus the '12 Targa CA.

Bottom line, they were hard as rocks........

Trying to get back up to speed on the BIG track again, plus the hard tires added up to some pretty disappointing times...
In fact it was the very first time I ever had all 4 wheels off on either the small or big track at Willow... Thank goodness it was at a very slow part of a very fast track... just over cooked the braking at the entrance of the uphill left hander... no harm, no foul...

Anyway, the weather was perfect, and no one or machine got hurt.......

    Bob,

That's my cheepass way of attaching the rented transponder.........

Yep, I still rent them. With the money I've spent renting through the years, I could have bought a hand full... all with permanent attachment...

    ... Oh well

Tell more about the bike in the background of the first pic....looks like an old Fisher.
Old '88 Fisher Pro Caliber that I added two more colors to....

Btw - we need to get you out of those cage pedals and mount a set of SPD clips for you
    No'ya don't.......

    no additional pics ?
Yeah, sorry ... I'm usually pretty good at that....
I kind'a had an agenda, that I realized wasn't go'n well from the start, so pics really wasn't on my mind.
Plus there was virtually NO other early cars there.... and I really like shooting early cars....
