    Creating RS MFI

    Hi all

Hoping someone can help me out or point me to a relevant source...

I have a fresh RS spec engine I built to factory spec including new Mahle 8.5:1 P&C and running webers. I may have the opportunity to pick up a complete 2.4 T MFI induction system... I am not interested in correct numbers, but to simply continue with the replication of a sweet 911/83 spec engine for my road car.

What do I need to know and what do I need to change for this system to fuel my 2.7?

    Cheers
    John

I'm on my second RS MFI rebuild. The first was based around a 2.4E engine and leaving the barrels, heads, cams, distributor etc to one side, the injection pump required the RS space cam mod, the stocks required taper boring and the throttle bodies were opened up. I would expect the T base would have similar requirements although it is possible the smaller stacks etc cannot be opened up as required. I understand the 2.0S and 2.2S injection pumps are the preferred starting points but I don't know why I'm sorry. For the second (current) build, because of the mission the various mods are, I spent a bit more time and hunted down a rebuilt '019' pump (they are out there - quick look just now brought this one up for instance http://www.ebay.de/itm/originale-BOS...item2a36dbe17f ), NOS RS stacks and rebuilt from 'S' throttle bodies. Germany is a good place to start shopping… Mittelmotor might be helpful as they are still building MFI based race motors.
