Any good shops to Refinsh Fuchs on East Coat?

I live in Central VA and looking for a competent shop I can drive to get my wheels refinished. Any recommendations? Thanks, Kevin

Just my opinion, but i would just invest if you can ( time, etc.. ) and send them to Harvey or any of the other guys on the west coast.

You probably have to put them in a box and send them UPS so it doesn't much matter, I have been very pleased with Harvey's work and communication.

Harvey's the man but he's crazy backed up right now. He's had a set of mine for over 4 months and I'm fairly certain he hasn't even started them yet. Harvey will teach you patience but he's worth it!

The answer to your question is No. Harvey is the best. Everyone else is in 2nd or 3rd place. If you're happy with that just pick place off the internet.

btw - only 4 months? Mine have been over a year. Harvey is a very busy man.

Sorry. The answer is no. There are no good shops to Refinish Fuchs on the East Coat.

If you live in VA, the best place to get your wheels refinished is the US Post office....that's where you drop the boxes off when they get mailed out to Harvey....<grin>

I'll jump into the discussion and admit that I don't have the patience required for a year's wait for a set of wheels to be redone...heck, it's a set of wheels, not a full restoration. I too would love to have Harvey do my wheels, but until that business plan changes, my psyche probably means I'll have to be happy with whoever does 2nd place refinishing. To me, the 'best' brings the whole package of product and reasonable timelines. Harvey clearly has earned a stellar reputation and the Registry is full of his customers and fans...I would so love to be one. Call me product and patience conflicted - guilty as charged.

2nd place is Al Reed - and he's not much faster. Will you settle for third place?
