    6,5 J 15 Lemmerz

Anyone ever heard of 6,5 J 15 steel wheels from Lemmerz? That's what the stamp says.

Yes, those are the base wheel for 72 911s. They are very rare, especially in the US. Look for date stamps. Should be mid 71 to mid 72.

Thanks Jim, they're for sale in the Netherlands, if I can help anybody in buying them let me know. I'll post 'm on the parts for sale section. Shipping is quite inexpensive (not mine)

Are you sure? A far as I know, standard steels were 6 J 15 ET 36...

What is the ET (offset) of these 6,5 J 15 Lemmertz? Do they have the Porsche-Trademark (see attachment, "Porsche Warenzeichen")?

Edit: Yes, I see it in the 2nd pic... These seem to be a rare find indeed...

    Wait a minute.................6.5? I guess I didn't pay attention. There is no such thing as a 6.5 X 15 steel wheel that I am aware of. . I just assumed they were 6J X 15.

    Ciao

Erik... can you take an actual measurement of these wheels? Some Porsche 'experts' here around me seem to agree that there is no such thing as a 6 1/2 J 15 Porsche wheel... (but who knows...) maybe 5 1/2 with just a bad (misreadable) stamp....? Do all 4 stamps look like this...?

Here's the link: it's an auction thing, but I think when you call him and offer 600 for the set they're yours. Euros that is..

Interesting! The stamp appears to be authentic and definitely is a 6 not 5. There is no picture of a date stamp which would help to solve the mystery. Maybe they are from a 906? They don't appear to be homemade, either.

Yes... but to me they don't really look to be 6 1/2 Inch wide either... if so, they appear to be wide to the inside... just from the picture. There should be an ET-stamp as well? A measurement surely would help!
