WTB: Anyone have a REALLY good LWB dash?

Friend of mine here in Austin doing a really nice restoration on a 69E. The car came without a dash and he's looking for something really nice. He's not interested in anything aftermarket.

If anyone has anything they'd part with, he's looking and he's willing to pay for something very, very nice. He'd prefer a '69 dash but wouldn't refuse a '70-73 dash if it's really nice. Thanks in advance.

Not going to work for him. I've had AI do a dash for one of my '74's and, while they do a very good job, it's not perfect. Their restorations have the dreaded seam and their vinyl is only a decent match at best. A much better match are the Italian dashes like the one sold by Lakewell but even that's not perfect.

My friend has been restoring this car for 7 years so he's shown a willingness to wait for the perfect part when he really wants it.

If your friend can get a hold of a dash in need of restoration, which might be much easier and cheaper than trying to find one in perfect condition, he could send it to Just Dashes out in Van Nuys. Those guys do a fantastic job, in my opinion. They're not quick, but the work is pure artistry.

Thanks for the tip. If we don't find something great I may just call him.

I also am a fan of Just Dashes and a longtime customer. Unfortunately, their work on early 911 dashes isn't that great. Their manufacturing process doesn't provide the definition that our the early 911 dashes need. To their credit, if you call them, they're very upfront about telling you exactly that - at least they were with me.
