WTB: Harper Motors, Inc Dealer Frame AKA needle in haystack

I finally got a copy of the Kardex for my car and found that the car was originally delivered to a gentleman in Charlottesville VA on November 29, 1965. What's really cool about this is that I live only 25 miles from Charlottesville so the car has most likely stayed local to Virginia it's entire life.

Anyway, to the point: I would like to find a Harper Motors Inc Dealer License Plate Frame for my car. They were the Porsche VW dealer in Charlottesville in the mid to late 1960's.

Anyone have one or recommend a lead?
    Thanks!

    Collecterosis

I started collecting Porsche dealer frames only recently . . . just within the last few years. A long-dormant collector disorder flairing-up. Anyway, to call this stuff 'rare' isn't really fair. 'Invisible' is prolly the better term. But lemme explain

By 'invisible' --- I mean 'not seen' . . . as in: NO ONE looks for these things . . . even if they knew what-the-heck to look for. Once I started chasing this stuff--- I was amazed at where these dealer frames turned-up at. Yard sales, junk-piles, old/weird/off-brand cars sitting out on side-streets, in fields . . . I mean ---- the world is full o' frames . . .

    . . . but no one's looking

Think about it. How many people --- even if they knew what we were talking about . . . would have either the presence-of-mind --- or the attention-span . . . to take a moment, glance at/down/under every rotty/chewed-up/barely noticeable fringe of pot-metal surrounding every car's license plates

    Your frame is out there . . . prolly dozens of 'em --- maybe hundreds . . . .

It's just that you ---- and me . . . may be the only two people on the planet who even know what Harper Motors is/means . . .

    . . . to bother looking

PS Have you tried locating/contacting the Original Owner. For all we know, he just may have the d@mn thing hanging on a wall, somewhere . . . or off the back of the trailer for his bass boat

Lots of Laughs Rick! Your right, I've got a box of these things from cars that have passed through my hands over the years, but most are the plastic ones from the 1990's and 2000's.

When checking Ebay, I find about 95% of the ones for sale are west of the continental divide.
I'll start checking antique malls and shops in the area.
