    J West headlight Relay Kit

I came across a new, unused J West relay kit sold on Pelican and was wondering if I can use it in my 1970 911T with H4s? I was planning to install additional TTG lights and hood mounted Cibies and thought the relay may assist in preserving the electric switches in the car.

Does this kit work in my 1970, I see the instructions state it is for 1974-89. Is there a required modification to the kit or my car to make it work?

I installed this kit on my 68 SWB for H4s. It's a breeze.

So to offset all the money my wife has been spending lately, I thought I'd try to catch up. The other day I bought an alternator conversion kit and alternator, as they're sold separately, for my '68 912. This morning, while browsing this thread, I thought "WTF". I'd heard about these relay kits and how they'd help save the dashboard light switch, so with getting even on my mind, I ordered one of the J West 911 kits. Then I noticed that they sold a "universal" kit as well. That got me thinking as to whether I bought the correct one, what with my car being a 912, not a 911. So I clicked on "contact us" and sent them an email, asking which kit was appropriate for my car. Believe it or not, they responded almost immediately, telling me that they'd change my order to the universal kit, which they said was the correct one for my car. And on a Sunday no less. Now that's customer service. 5 Stars to J West.
