    Thanks,

With some anomalies it seems to be around VIN301000. Before that, around 75% of the registered cars show 6 pleads (scattered over the period), after that none.

The last 3 cars I have registered before VIN 301000 allegedly all have 6 pleats (300882,300898, 300984), so I guess it changed around April 22, 1965.

My car (301128), which has a release date of 5.18.1965, has six pleats. It also has the emergency flasher. As they say, Porsche consistently inconsistent.

Interesting! So it must have been right around that time.

WOW! I am so happy to find you guys. I have read so much on these threads to now understand what a significant purchase I have made. In early November 2022 I bought 911 number 300839. It is an incredibly original car from Arizona with NO Rust! Gray White with a blue interior and blue corduroy 6 pleat seat inserts. All matching numbers in unbelievable condition. I have registered it for Werks Reunion @ Amelia Island Fla, on March 3. It is complete and quickly learning how original it is from your posts. Thank you everyone for such great details posted here. If anyone here is going to the event please contact me so we can review and discuss this piece of history. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys, Mark

Weiss/Grau is a very elegant colour and rare if refinished properly. Also used by Mercedes and BMW in period.
I own a 70S with brown interior in this color.
Post a photo when you have a chance. Would love too see the blue interior.
    Regards, Robert
