how do you remove the stock front sway bar on a 67 SWB car other than cutting the end off and pulling it out???

Well, you need to have the wheel off for starters, but is the strut still in the way after you take the sway bar lever off? If so the it needs to be disconnected at the top or bottom.

i am removing the whole front suspension and replacing it with green bilstein struts with a weltmister front sway bar
basically a whole early turbo front end brakes are aluminum s calipers with drilled rotors front and back
when you take the arms off the square end wont go threw the three bolt plate with out cutting the end off ??
your car looks alot like mine what year is yours i am upgrading my whole car
wheel sizes are 7/16 front and 9/16 rear 26mm torsion bars in the rear and 19 front 19mm front sway bar no rear yet but that is in the works
rs spec 2.7 with S cams built buy Otto's in Venice beach and a 901 ZF gearbox
the motor has been setting in storage and i haven't run it yet the guy i bought it from said it was nasty fast in a 914 otto's does allot of hot 914's

very often the rubber bearing is seized to the plate(at least on euro cars) so that you have to destroy it(heat).
i think that is what i have to deal with was hoping not to do that it has ben there since 67 i'm sure
i will give it a try

I have a weltmeister 22 and the bushings are sloppy and squeaky so I forgot that the stock ones would be tight. I want to upgrade to a nice set of Taretts.
