    Straightening bent Fuchs

Can a slightly bent Fuchs flat 6 be straightened? I bought a cheap one off fleabay and it turned out to be slightly buckled when they were mounting a tire. It is enough to cause a vibration in the car if I fitted it to the car.

I think in the dim and distant past I had a BBS alloy straightened in the UK, so I believe it should be possible, but is it a) advisable b) cost effective?

    YES !!!! .......

Try it first, however, if the wheel is really tweaked it can never be balanced out until fixed....if it's fixable...

Harvey Weidman can give it a try if it's not too bad.........

    Hope this helps

Hi, we have straightened quite a few Fuchs mostly due to minor impact damage. It is possible but they do need checking and ensuring no cracks or further damage. The number of cracked Fuchs we are finding is pretty alarming.

    Thanks

Great, thanks guys. Jim from EASY also recommended Rite Way in Walnut Creek. I'll speak with the wheel seller and see where I go from here.

I like Rite way and they are good polishers but, PLEASE don't send them a Fuchs for truing...
We have the specialized tools and equipment designed for repairing Fuchs. If it can be repaired, we can do it.
Have the seller or you can call me for more info...
