    Nuts and Bolts Kits

    Hi All,

Just wondering is there a supplier who puts together a nuts and bolts kit for the old 911s'. So as and when nuts or bolts which are looking a bit beyond there used by date, can be easily replaced ? Especially for the front and rear suspension, particularly after the yellow zinc nuts and bolts etc

I know i am probably asking a silly question, but thought i would ask anyway.

    cheers

Eagle-Day sells kits. However, I've found it's easier to assemble my own "kits" by ordering bulk from a supplier like Belmetric. Others buy from Wurth or other German suppliers, but if you're not a shop that buys from them regularly I find it too difficult (their online "catalog" is just a 100 page pdf, I have no idea who the distributor is, etc.). I found Belmetric to be super easy as far as ordering, and they ship same day.

My approach is to change out to these new fasteners as I'm doing my various maintenance projects. But I save the original stuff, tumble it to clean it up, and store it soaked with WD40. Someday I'm going to do the full "nut and bolt" restoration and will reinstall the original fasteners, all cleaned up and re-plated. Yeah, someday...

Random rant: it is not only Wurth that has a crappy online product search capability; it seems to afflict most German companies, including Porsche. Come on guys, it's the 21st century! Get with it!

The Wurth kits you can get from Performance Products but they still have to be yellow zinc plated as they all come silver.

Eagle Day doesn't sell a full 911 kit, do they? I bought a 944 kit from them previously, which was great, but couldn't find a similar kit for 911's on their site.

Is there a comprehensive list somewhere of which nuts and bolts are needed for an early 911?

No list available? The other alternative I guess is to go through the PET.

I just got set up with Wurth the other day and my rep is telling me that he has all the yellow cad hardware I need. I'll see him next week and report back.

If people agreed to divide up various sub-assemblies this might work. "crowd sourcing"

It would take a long long time to do it all yourself.
