    1967 crash

This is from last year, and I hope the driver had a full recovery, but only lap belts led to injury...

Anyone know how George is doing?

Makes me also re-think the round headrests; gives me goose bumps looking at those brackets hanging out there.

Easy to forget what happens when these cars get away from the drivers during spirited outings...

I just had to take a long deep breath after reading that post. Hope George is OK today. I had seen those photos on the internet without the background afforded by this community and thought mostly about the car. Now I think about Mr Gates and the immediacy at which we can loose traction, footing, perspective, everything.

    Take care folks.

I read that thread about George;I really hope he is doing well.

Very tragic and scary. I really hope he has fully recovered.

Is there suggestions on how to make our cars safer within the constraints of vintage?
Putting in a shoulder harness in a coupe?
    What about 356 roadsters?

I have a 356 Roadster and I have put a shoulder harness in that
Even though the location of the shoulder strap is not perfect I think that would probably be of some help in a head-on collision. In my 71 911 I have a shoulder harness and seats from a later 911 which I think are much safer than the original style seats ,I drive the 356 fairly cautiously while the 911 Gets driven a bit more aggressively. I have recently purchased an interest in a 944 Turbo track car to get my Yaya's out !!
