    FS: @eBay - 73 silver 911 S Targa

    Hello all!
Im sure a few of you noticed the silver '73 911S Targa thats on ebay from Classic Euro Cars, the Orlando importers.
The car does not have its original engine. It has a '77 2.7 liter block. (Built to RS specs)
How much should this affect the value?
The car seems near perfect, and was fully nut-n-bolt restored in '07.
thanks for your imput as Im interested in the car.

    9113310381

    VIN = 9113310381
    Eng# = ?
    Trans# = ?

    Seller's eBay ad . . .

. . . Here is the opportunity to acquire a rare 1973 911 S with 4 documented owners, all from the West coast & desert areas (CA, AZ & NV), so never had any rust issues. Floors, front pan, rocker panels are all original and never touched. The factory undercoating is still all there. The car was last painted in 2010 is in its original color Silver . . .

. . . Absolutely no traces of prior accidents or repairs. The car is laser straight. Car was originally equipped with A/C.

. . . We have a huge folder full of receipts and listing pretty much everything that has been done to the car especially in the past 3 years by a very meticulous owner who spent an incredible amount of money… The non exhaustive list includes a full engine rebuilt (with proper MFI), transmission rebuilt, new suspension bushings, new fuel system including a new gas tank, new brakes, etc . . .

. . . The interior is also completely new and nothing was over-looked, from the new and correct Perlon carpet to the new dashboard, new dooor pockets, fully rebuilt gages, new upholstery, even the Targa top (and all of its expensive seals) was rebuilt inside-out with special ordered vinyl from Germany. This interior is absolutely sublime, especially with the sports seats showing on the Certificate of Authenticity . . .

. . . Everything that needed updating, maintenance, upgrades, etc., has been done. This 911 S is ready to go right now and needs absolutely nothing . . .

. . . The engine: 2.7 liter RS specs MFI (using a 1977 911 S case), completely rebuilt by Jay Moore, former Andial mechanic & engine builder, in October of 2007. This motor has great torque and power across the entire rpm range. It is an absolute delight to drive. The car has less than 5,000 miles since since the 2007 rebuilt. It was mostly used for PCA social events . . .

. . . In addition to the huge folder of receipts and history, we have the COA as well as the original manual in our possession . . .

. . . This rare Classic 911 is available for viewing and inspection in Orlando, FL by appointment only. Other detailed photos & videos are available upon serious request . . .

    IMO minus 25%-35%

The car looks nice but is not quite near perfect. There are a number of things off with the car. Most look small to remediate in the general scheme of things but nevertheless they are off

IMO there a a number of Pros on this car:
Interior is in really nice shape (all the door pockets even look good). They did a nice job
Has sport seats which is also noted on COA
Repaint looks good and is correct color for the car
    claimed no accidents
    Claimed no rust
    Documentation looks to be there
Stack of receipts (BTW, hopefully the RS motor build is documented in those receipts)

2.4S prices don't seem to be slowing down. This car priced at $65k six months ago (and it was advertised for a while so most likely sold for less) looks to be well bought.

I think it looks like a very nice car, if you are looking for one to drive I'd say it would be a great choice. I had a restored 73 S targa and really loved it, it had a correct 2.4 S motor but was not matching numbers. I'll probably never be able to afford another S unless market crashes at some point.

Looks like a great car. Small details, wrong tank, wrong air box, wrong vinyl on roof, coil, carpet? are all easily fixed. With RS spec 2.7 will run much stronger than a stock 2.4S. Nice paint and interior, sport seats. Wonder what the reserve is? 100K?

Well if you want nits picked,,,,it has an earlier MFI set-up, those are mag stacks and bodies from a 69-71. A 73 would have had plastic stacks. Won't affect performance however.
