Is color important to the early 70's 911

Considering a 72T targa in light yellow(code 117)...a very, very good driver, mechanically and cosmetically. Is this color a plus or minus for the year? I consider this car as a drivable investment...so looking to protect capital and would like to enjoy some upside if the bottom doesn't fall out of these values...which I don't think it will.

I guess the most important thing is that the cars condition overall is good, specially if its for investment. Rare and bright colours are liked, but then the least liked colour like sepia brown, is in fashion too.

It's a nice color and if you like it then that's a bonus.

Don't put so much emphasis on the value. Enjoy the car...

From a value perspective the most important factors regarding color are, original paint and next original color if a respray. From a buying perspective the most important factor is, can you live with the color?

Condition should be a primary consideration.

Thanks for the input here...I have the car now...I bought the car to drive and that's what I'll do. Knowing that condition is paramount to a sound choice, I believe I have found the right car. Have owned 914's for years, still do, and wanted to experience the 911 drive and performance. Looking forward to that...just need to wait for winter's hold to break on the the northeast.

You will love the 911 build quality. Looking over those curved fenders as you drive it is just a joy. Show us some pics. You might want to throw a hot rod engine in it down the road but it will be fun all the same.
