FS: Carrera RS Book/Gruber & Konradsheim

No Longer Available for sale. For sale is a limited edition, English-language copy of the 'Carrera RS' book, written by Dr. Thomas Gruber and Dr. Georg Konradsheim, and published by T.A.G. Verlag GmbH in 1992.

This is copy #0991 of 3000 and is in 'as new' condition. The New Reduced Price is now $1,650.00 (US dollars) which includes shipping and insurance within the continental USA and my PayPal fee.

The description from the T.A.G. website is as follows:

The Carrera RS Book covers a lot of ground. The authors trace the "Carrera legend" back to its beginnings, describe all the earlier Carrera models, and provide a brief introduction to the development of the 911 as a sports car.

The chapters on the developmental background of the Carrera RS, on its technical specifications, and a detailed review of its standard and special-order equipment can be considered to be the heart of the book. A further section covers the technical aspects and the racing history of the competition model RSR. It took three years of research activities to finish up this book and Porsche opened its extensive archives and provided access to relevant internal communications.

The script is supplemented with comprehensive photographs, most of them appearing in print for the first time.

The work is concluded with a complete list of each 1,580 Carreras built, with their individual production data including the original colour, equipment and specially ordered extras. Thus, it is the ideal reference work for aficionados, collectors and restorers. The 256 page book had been published in an English and German version. Both editions were numbered and limited to 3,000 copies each. The book was bound in red linen and was protected by a green linen slipcase. Both editions have been sold out for years.
