This was done with the stock Makerbot software - Makerware. http://www.makerbot.com/makerware/

The printer was a Makerbot Replicator 2.

The .stl file was downloaded from Thingiverse - http://www.thingiverse.com

I can't take credit for doing anything more than using an existing file, but it was lots of fun to set up and print!

spending the afternoon! this world is pretty funny..
It is the first test, the cord (where each layer begins and ends in the 3d piece) is a defect to be solved, I will pass it to the front part. I think it will have a better finish... Printed in PLA. And chrome paint. There was no type of post-processing of the piece because it came out quite well! I'll do the next test giving it a high thickness filler, a white primer and finally the chrome paint... Let's see how it turns out... Someone else has been encouraged to print things in 3d?

I still think that the printer is easy to learn for all of us... and they are also cheap for everything they offer you...

    0.4mm nozzle
    0.28mm layer height
the first layer at 240º and the following ones at 200º to avoid shrinkage.
I have made this other chassis for my Wltoys... with some post-processing it will look good although I will surely print it again with a much lower layer height (0.08M).
a total of between 9 and 11 hours and an approximate weight with supports of 100gr
I am still very interested in this subject, so if there is someone who wants to share things in 3d etc... this is the post!

I also made this little thing for decoration. It remains to add a couple more things (the date does not go on the object) model, date of manufacture etc... If someone wants the STL to print it, let me know!
