    Steve McQueen 911 E Targa...

    Hello early Porsche fans,

just came across this car by accident…obviously it's not for sale, but the site indicates that if the price is right…

I didn't know about this car, maybe you did. Anyway, I just wanted to share this beauty with you.

    Best regards from Germany,

    Hmm . . .

Claims to've been sold at Rusnak to Steve McQueen. Also claims that the 'starburst/sunrise' decal in the rear window is from Solar Productions

Why emphasize the "wrong" hood badge with a clear close up!

Those decals looked familiar and now I remember they were discussed in a thread a few months back. It looks like Heinz may have been looking at this car:

They state on their sale site the rear window has a "Solar production" logo.
Not shure this is correct. Solar might used another logo:

I don't wish to be rude but.. p l e a s e!!! If you can make someone think that is true without proof [and we know there is no proof]....

That sticker is a basic late 60s- early 70s period Sun-Rainbow decal- sticker that all the wanna-be hippies, then all the school kids put on their cars.

Amazon has a "Steve McQueen Solar Productions Sports Car Racing Car Sticker" if anyone is interested. I tried to copy it. No luck. Here is the link:

    Hope this helps.

My take is the Red Flag sticker is from the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA and the B/C sticker is from the Bel Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, Ca Both would be local clubs for Steve McQueen since he lived in Brentwood at the time. Both stickers are for parking lot passes to the clubs. Pacific Palisades CA is where I grew up. Chris

BTW that back window does not look like a Solar Productions decal. If we are just going by that on this car tied to Steve McQueen, how short sided is that? Chris
