    FS: @Carparc - 1964 911 - #300250

This will be for sale at the upcoming Retro Classic Expo in Stuttgart Germany in March. Looks like a very high quality restoration and should be a small fortune......it doesn't get much better than this.

Yes, looks like a Jan. 7, '65 build date. Interesting how the serial numbers jump around between build dates of Dec. '64 and Jan. '65 on this sheet......they're not in order.

Since production started in the second half of 1964, all 1964 built cars are model year 1965.....
We also have a letter (has been posted on this forum in another thread also) from Porsche instructing the dealers to register the first cars as 65 model year.
The production book of which I posted a copy of the page with 300250 on it on my web site, show the dates when the cars were completed.
Indeed interesting to see how the numbers were mixed up.
If we assume that it took them two to three weeks to built a car from scratch to completion it is clear that 300250 was built in December 1964.
Looking at the 1964 calender, the completion date of January 7th is the fourth working day for the factory.

    Cheers, Henk.

Do you have any more of these high quality images with the build information? Would you mind posting them or pointing me in the right direction?
    Thanks!

Wow, pretty pretty pretty. Ok, I'll take the bait and ask the question everyone else is wanting to know the answer to: So just how big is a small fortune these days? Any guesses?

I love this car, it seems beautifully restored with all the correct details (shouldn't the front seats have 6 vertical strips and not 5?).

I do have a question on value: is the price so high because it's considered a December 64 built car? Would the price be significantly lower if it had been build a few months later in 1965?

Or is the price simply justified by the quality of the restoration, the rare color, and the fact this early car is matching numbers and still has its original panels?

Talk about museum quality, both in terms of provenance and build quality.
