Different between 4 and 5 rivet hella 118

Is there anyone who can tell me what's the different between the 4 and 5-rivet hella 118 light? Are they both original for 911 porsche?
    Thanks

I have been told that the fifth rivet is only on the Porsche-installed 118s, for a better grounding solution.

The fifth rivet is actually for the hot lead isolator so that the wiring connection doesn't flop around inside the case. You are partially correct though. The Porsche delivered five rivet lights have an extra ground spade internally for a discrete ground wire connection inside the case. Something the aftermarket (4 rivet) 118s do not have. They rely on the mechanical chassis mount for the grounding.

Firstly yellow, that is not a 118 light. The 118s are halogen, that there TN2 is a tungsten. The single wire grommet and lack of a ground spade connection tell me that it is an aftermarket light. A similar light using that case and reflector set up was used for US delivered Through The Grill (TTG) fog lights. However, they used a TN4 lens with a full vertical flute and I would bet the lens on that light you show is a split flute TN2 lens.

So, the answer to your question is No, technically not correct as Porsche factory supplied but, very close to the US spec.
