    I'm no expert, but it looks like a Y series 1967 unit to me.

    Y series is 67-68, so could be correct for a '68L

    Mike I think the Z series is 68 and 69. Y series should be 67. I have a 10/67 produced 68 MY and it came with a Z series. Maybe a Euro car would be different, but he is showing a U.S. version.

    All the gauges in the car were dated 11/67 if that helps.

    I believe the chart is:
    B=70-71
    A=69-70
    Z=68-69
    Y=67-68

    I told you I wasn't an expert Makes more sense now, although I have an early 68 Normale...There's a X version for sale over on the Bird and the seller states 66-67 application.

    re: the Y Series frankfurt radio that's for sale, do all of the radio functions work?

    along a separate "Education" line, this is potentially important and mike fitton seems to have legitimate resource information.

    my 8/67 production '68 was delivered to me with an x series fankfurt that doesn't work. should i be looking for a Y series, instead?

    Actually X or Y could be correct: X='66-'67 Y= "67-'68 But if yours was delivered with an "X" you may want to stick with that. When installed you would not be able to see any difference between the X and Y. Keep in mind an "X" radio could be delivered with an early '68 but a "Y" could not be originally delivered in a '66.
