Will a '67 Batwing work here?

I've searched and didn't find any comments on this topic.

Will the Batwing from my '67 leather steering wheel work on a steel spoke wooden wheel of the same vintage?

I've heard that the spoke "angle" of the steering wheels changed later (perhaps '69 LWB?), but that's the only difference I can find.

Will only work on 420 mm wheel (to the best of my knowledge)

I guess will it work vs does it look correct. My answer was more along the lines of it looking correct. The angles on the wheel don't match the angles of the batwings as they do on a 420 mm wheel.

Were the standard leather wrapped wheel on a '67S be a 420 MM?
How many sizes of wood wheels were produces for SWB cars?

All the wood wheels delivered as "factory" wheels on SWB cars are 420mm and the batwings are the same as for plastic wheels. 67Ss came with a 420mm Leather covered wheel.

Leather wrapped wheel of a '68 911 (minus the leather) and a '68 steel and wood wheel from a 912. They fit the same.

Thanks guys for clearing that up for me.
As long as I get a 420mm wood wheel my batwing will work great.

    Much appreciated,
    Steve
