    Even a blind squirrel

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut occasionally .......................

With all the talk about the RM auction, the Gooding auction and the "Fantasy Island" auction and the $200k this and the $300k that and all the chatter of "affordable" cars.
Here, IMHO, is a clean simple example of the origin, of the passion, of why we love the cars. The price, well, (come get it or its going to the scrappers),a Saturday afternoon's effort, a Sunday morning, a new battery, 4-5 gallons of diesel for the truck, unfreeze the rear brake drums, clean new fuel, a bit of messing around and she runs .... For you today, almost free ...............
May not be the "belle of the ball" but she's a keeper .........................

Nice car. The price is right, but how much rust? Or rather, how much will this free car cost?

pretty good deal - did it once - it was the old a/c just needs a charge - that is code for leaks in all components and the compressor is shot - was only a $5k fix

The drivers door was "over sprung" and has a small crease, just front there are some bubbles in the front fender and the area where the spare lives is "a bit thin" ( a few pin holes visible), but beyond that it is solid. The interior is good, the dash has no cracks, it has yellow bilsteins, good tires, the rear shoes are thin, but, I'm thinking; light rubbing compound, a good wax, some messing around to get the lights, fuel gauge, temp gauge, turn signals and wipers all working correctly and it's good to go to Safeway and beyond.
Going forward my cost will be, license fees, a little this, a little that and some sweat equity.

WP935 2002 are great cars. Fun to drive and always surprising cars. Have driven a lot of them- family and friends all loved them. Great color!

Great color. So are you keeping it? They are fun cars and this one could be guilt free motoring. Maybe swap those wheels for some BBS?

The exposure in the first pic looks closer to the color I remember a bright lime the second and third shots outside look to be
a bit overexposed as though its more of a jade hue.
The 76 '02 was all the rage in the day I think my first was a '70 round eye though which started me on a long line of beamers mostly M models ,still an M5 sitting patiently out front right now..
Those alloys were the top of the line 320 models which required spacing to fit but were deriguer in the day,had a set on
a silver '76 myself till my buddy blew the engine then wrecked in quick succession those were the days...Bert
