    Great snapshot into the past

    Here is a link to a restoration/improvement to a 1965 911 back in 1983 when the older the Porsche the cheaper it was. This link give a neat look into the past and helps explain what happened to a lot of old 911's, that would be insane today.

    Well, he had me up until the sunroof install. At least he didn't go the full impact bumper update. Interesting look back...

    It would be interesting to know how well the acid dip held up over time.


    Oh and I LOOOOVE that nitrostain ( the red/brown bondo ) smeared all over the car. I KNOW how well that held up

    What a brilliant find!

    Interesting also to see how more than just the aesthetic sensibilities have changed (That car would be pretty much a survivor with associated premium today if he'd just parked it!) when I look at the guys doing the dipping with only one wearing gloves and no breathing equipment to be seen!
