    Fuchs 9x15

    Hi,

I have a question, a fuchs 9x15 with the pet number 911.361.020.03 is for a ST?

    Thanks!

It depends on the date code ...

Most ST's that ran 9in wheels in period used Minilites as the 9in Fuchs wasn't available yet - the earliest 9in Fuchs I've seen had a '73 date codes.

Harvey W will be along with the definitive answer ...

I have a feeling the 9" fuch was introduced in March 71. Here are 2 great cars at the 71 Le Mans with 9 x15 Fuchs.
    Might be wrong though.

I think you might be right about 9in Fuchs being available earlier Dave - possibly as early as '71.

I'd always thought that a lot of the cars running wider Fuchs in '71 & '72 were utilising widened (welded) wheels ...

I know that the new 7 x 15 non "R" no spacer required was introduced in March 71. Like you say Andy, Harvey will clarify.

I had a pair of Feb '71-dated 8's last year but I've never seen 9's this early.

Here is an interesting thread. Matt Blast has some, 3/71 dated 9x15 fuchs.
