My "beef" with our "media" and I'm qurious to see how long ...

....it's gonn'a take before Subaru has a lawsuit for showing their owners to "crack" the wheel bolts off by kicking with their boots AFTER the car is hoisted up on the "jack"....that Moron-dad should get a "kick in the butt" as well...it really drives me nuts...I can't relate to the new "hip" style of commercials and motor-journalism...one reason for not renewing my subscription to "Auto-stupid-week"(I can't relate to any of them..except Denise and Farley) ...and while I'm at it...did all sound technicians on television go to the same seminar?...back ground sound is no longer back-ground...you can't even hear the announcer anymore, on the news, on sports events, on any program where something is spoken...and one more thing...I bought a large screen TV to enjoy "the big picture"...don't you think they fill it with banners, signs and "streaming news" and other non related crap...so you have to peek between their messages to get a glimpse of what's going on behind all that nonsense...so what's the point with a large screen?..70" of that?...it's time to go back to radio...
Pheew, I feel better now...Thanks.../ Lars...

P.S...don't even mention any discussion program where everybody talks over each other...I was told that's considered rude....now it seems to be the norm...even Presidents and world leaders do it?.. just listen to them all...a bunch of idiots!...

    Ha!!
You couldn't make this stuff up if you got paid for it!

    Lars,
I'm pretty sure you and I have to be from the same tribe somewhere down the line. I can't agree with you more and my wife and daughters will tell you how obnoxious and unenjoyable I can be while out at a movie or watching TV because of my constant commentary regarding the pathetic behavior of our citizens toward one another.

Parents seem to have taught their kids to look out for #1 instead of pursuing a greater good and honoring and respecting others above themselves.

Frank, I thought I became this way because I just "signed up" for Medicare....

Wow!!! I have a stack of operating manuals for the B767 and not one of them says the aircraft will "struggle to maintain altitude once the fuel tanks are empty".

    I feel cheated...

In CNN's defense, they did label that a "Developing Story". I'm sure they later interviewed a linguistics expert who said "struggle to maintain altitude" is essentially the same as "steep nose dive resulting in egg-beater move into ocean".

The 3 "M's" of old age:

    Medicare
    Male Menopause (see: Manboobs)
More flatulance (and unfortunately less likelihood of hearing them)

I went to the store the other day for my wife but I had to stop for gas first.

    I was walking.
