1971 T Targa gold metallic how many produced

Hi, is there a way to how many cars were produced in a certain color? I also think I remember reading that the kardex does not indicate if the car came with a soft window or hard window?

    Thanks for the help

The big colors are known by rough percentages.
For special colors there's no database.

    The Kardex mentions options.
A hardwindow was standard in 71, so only a SW would have been noted as option...

I've often thought that this was an interesting RELATED reference...

There is a thread w a copy of a 1968 Christophorus article, which defines in % the standard colors produced.
In 1971 it was different but the % of special colors was most likely similar. I think less than 5./. of overall production numbers of a Manufacturing Year MY.

    From the 912 Registry:

    Standard versus Special Order:

Colors of Porsches delivered in 1966, by percentage of overall production [as indicated in the October 1967 Christophorus]
Light Ivory (23.9%), Polo Red (18.7), Irish Green (14.2), Sand Beige (9.5), Aga [dark] Blue (8.7), Slate Grey (6.9), Bahama Yellow (6.5), Gulf [light] Blue (4.6), Metallic Silver (3.1), Black (3.0), other colors (0.9%)

Hi, I think we got off topic for the date, I am looking for numbers for 1971 T, Targa. My fault for asking for the numbers from that particular issue.

    Michael,

The analyzed data you're looking for doesn't exist. Only the raw numbers in Kardex and Production Record form in Germany.
