I have never seen a 10k tach with turn signals markers. Were there RSR's and 914 GT's that were street driven in Europe that came with this tach? This is the second one on this board I have seen with turn signal markers?

Here is a shot of a 10k tach from one of my 935's and it doesn't have any turn signal markers. So I would say this tach was obviously for a street car as a race car would have no need for markers? Just curious of a more defined use .

10K VDO Tachos with Turn-Signal Indicators

In 1970 the factory 914-6 GT cars used the 911R 10K tachs, those came with turn signal indicators from factory, and so did the 73' 2.8 RSR.

The following are photos of an OEM "NOS" VDO 10K tachs with the 30000 Imp (impressions) stamped on the can (only found on the 'real' 10K VDO tachs, not conversions).

OEM NOS VDO 10K Tach, Date Code 1973 for a 2.8 RSR

    erase 10K VDO Tach 04.jpg

This photos shows the turn-signal indicators more clearly...

    erase 10K VDO Tach 05.jpg

...and at 12 o'clock on the dial, it shows the correct 911 Porsche p/n for the RSR.

    erase 10K VDO Tach 06.jpg

This is the correct VDO 10K tach for a 1973 Porsche 2.8 RSR.
Note the 30000 Imp is in fact stamped on the side of the can.

    erase 10K VDO Tach 07.jpg

The earlier versions, for the 911R, the 30000 Imp factory stamping is found in back of the can.
