    Dave,

Congrats, these are great cars, they've been unappreciated forever. But that has been changing, nice ones have been selling for similar prices to early S's.

Depending on purchase price it could be a VERY cool project. Impact bumper cars have 1000s more parts than an early car and Turbos even more so, so strap on your big boy pants for this one.

Congratulations on the purchase and good luck.

The crazy part is that what's rattling around in my dad's head. He puts these things together from memory ...

The good thing with Turbos is that most of those parts are usually cooked together, so you probably won't be missing too many of them. Now, whether said parts are actually viable, well, that's a horse of a different color.

    I am a total 930 Noob...
I just found this system which seem much easier to figure out and MUCH much nicer looking and alot cheaper as well..

Do you know what turbo is the upgrade for the 77 ?? and what wastegate system is needed.

    thanks !!!

Your car originally came with a K26 (3LDZ) ... the K27 is the upgrade.

Wastegates are all the same ... make sure the diaphragm is good. Beware dial-a-death boost regulators and 1 Bar springs.

Good header systems can be had from RarlyL8/M&K and some might say Billy Boat.

+1...I restored mine and know very well...as said these engines are more complicated than earlier ones but the car puts such a big smile on your face that you soon forget the $$$$.

    Good buy!
