FS: Sport Seat tilt Base (Hershey Delivery?)

I am offering a tilt seat base for a sport seat on behalf of a friend. Although I am ignorant of sport seats, I'm told that this base is for an early 70's 911 sport seat. As you can see in the photos, I have not cleaned it at all. After some research and inquiry, the closest item offered was a pair similar to this offered for $2,500 and sold. I've been advised that a price of $800 is fair, but if you disagree, I'm happy to listen and relay the information. Shipping is extra.

I actually emailed the seller well before Nick posted so it lasted even less than it appears.

As I said in the original ad, I was listing the item on behalf of a friend.

I apologize for the delay in responding. Business carried me out of town for 2 days, and during that time, it appears that a question has arisen as to the provenance of the seat base. One very credible member wrote that the base was NOT for a 70's seat, but for a 67-68 seat. I have no personal knowledge of sport seats, at all, and so it is impossible for me to address these complications with any credibility.

I am in the process of responding to each of the PMs with appropriate instructions/suggestions that will allow potential buyers to satisfy themselves as to whether the seat base is correct for their application, and to enable them to work directly with the person who actually owns the seat base, so that the buyers are not relying on me and my ignorance. I simply want to be sure that the buyer gets what he thinks he is buying. If this arrangement is somehow unsuitable, please PM me and we can discuss it.

    Thank you.
