    68/69 was the transition from the block-off plate with the Porsche script in the photo above, to just a block off that was covered with vinyl.

    sorry to hijack, but why was this item in use ?

    Either you ordered a car with no radio or it came with radio…so why/when this block-off plate came in use: for racing, sports (by new owner) ??.

    There was a thread about this issue and I found it interesting to discuss.
    Btw thx for the info about the SWB / LWB time cut. I ve seen all 3 versions (wood, Porsche, vinyl).
